35×7 – Low rotation wire rope for precise lifting applications

The 35×7 construction has a large number of strands, making it very low rotating and smooth running. It is therefore ideal for applications involving the safe and controlled movement of very heavy, freely suspended loads. Examples include cranes and winches on construction sites, in industrial settings, and in forestry. Learn more about the 35×7 construction, and contact us for more information.

Designation: 35×7 describes a wire rope with a total of 35 strands, each consisting of 7 wires.

Properties: The 35×7 wire rope is characterized by its low rotation construction and stable rope run. It offers a good balance between flexibility and dimensional stability.

Applications: The rope is ideal for applications where loads must be moved in a controlled manner, such as with cranes or winches.

Material: Available in a galvanized version as standard, making it suitable for outdoor use and industrial environments.

Versions at Hamburger Drahtseilerei: We offer 35×7 as a galvanized wire rope in various diameters, sold by the meter, and optionally with custom end fittings and coating.

Applications of 35×7

  • Lifting technology: loading cranes, construction hoists, trolleys, electric wire rope hoists

  • Winch applications: forestry ropes, pulling and lifting winches

  • Construction: cranes and lifting systems with freely suspended loads

  • Industry: precision lifting and positioning applications

  • Agriculture & forestry: robust winch and pulling systems

  • Special applications: wherever low rotation ropes are required

Do you need the rope in a compacted version?

If your crane or winch is in continuous use every day and has to lift extremely heavy loads, we recommend the reinforced 35×K7 version. In this version, the wires in the rope are tightly compressed (compacted), which makes the rope’s surface smoother and more compact.

Your benefits: The rope runs more smoothly over pulleys, wears out much more slowly, and can lift significantly heavier loads. Especially under very high stress, this saves you costs in the long run because the rope needs to be replaced less often.

FAQs – 35×7 Steel Wire Ropes

Low rotation wire ropes are designed so that they have little tendency to twist around their own axis under load. This is particularly important for freely suspended loads, as it ensures greater control and safety.

Typical applications include loading cranes, construction hoists, electric wire rope hoists, and winch applications where stable and controlled behavior is required.

Yes, we offer the rope by the meter as well as with custom end fittings. Please feel free to contact us for a customized solution.
