6×19+WSC – the high-quality 7×19 stainless steel cable with steel core from Hamburger Drahtseilerei
6×19+WSC – the high-quality 7×19 stainless steel cable with steel core from Hamburger Drahtseilerei
Our 7×19 stainless steel cable is available in the 6×19+WSC construction. WSC stands for Wire Strand Core, which is the steel core of the wire rope and, in combination with the other 114 wires of the stainless steel cable, ensures exceptional flexibility and strength. The construction is therefore perfectly suited for areas where ropes have to be moved frequently or guided over rollers, such as in shipping, architecture, or mechanical engineering. Thanks to the robust stainless steel, the ropes remain reliably dimensionally stable even in changing weather conditions or under heavy use.
Designation: 7×19 or 6×19+WSC refers to a wire rope with 6 strands, each consisting of 19 wires. The 7th element of the construction is a steel insert (WSC = Wire Strand Core).

Properties: Stainless steel ropes in the 6×19+WSC design combine high tensile strength with excellent flexibility and are particularly easy to bend and twist. They retain their dimensional stability even with frequent deflections or dynamic applications and impress with their long-term corrosion resistance.
Application: The ropes are suitable for use as manure removal ropes in agriculture, rope guides in mechanical and plant engineering, stage and event technology, as well as for bracing and safety applications. The stainless steel construction with steel core is recommended wherever movable or loaded rope guides are required.
Surface: 6×19+WSC stainless steel ropes have a smooth, even surface that is visually appealing, easy to maintain, and corrosion-resistant. Even when used frequently, they retain their aesthetic and functional quality. They are highly resistant to changing weather or industrial conditions.
Versions at Hamburger Drahtseilerei: We offer 7×19 stainless steel ropes in various materials such as 1.4401, 1.4529, or 1.4462 (duplex), as well as coated or customized to customer requirements if necessary. This allows the length, diameter, and end fittings such as hooks, thimbles, or eyelets to be tailored precisely to your project.

7×19 stainless steel cable for agriculture
At Hamburger Drahtseilerei, we supply high-quality 7×19 stainless steel cables for various manure removal systems. They are robust, durable, and can be guided optimally over rollers or deflectors. Since almost every system is built differently, we customize your cable and prepare the cable ends to fit your application perfectly.
| Product | Diameter wire rope | Outer diameter | Construction | Material |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Coated manure removal rope | Ø 5 mm | Ø 6 mm | 6×7+WSC, 6×19+WSC | Galvanized steel & PP coating |
| Ø 6 mm | Ø 8 mm | 6×7+WSC, 6×19+WSC | Galvanized steel & PP coating | |
| Ø 8 mm | Ø 10 mm | 6×19+WSC, 6×36+WSC | Galvanized steel & PP coating | |
| Ø 10 mm | Ø 12 mm | 6×19+WSC, 6×36+WSC | Galvanized steel & PP coating |
By the way: We also offer stainless steel manure removal ropes in an 8×7 construction with polypropylene insert (very robust for use in manure removal systems) and in a 6x19S+FC construction (specially developed for manure removal systems, particularly flexible and bendable thanks to its Seale construction and fiber insert).
Other areas of application for 7×19 stainless steel cable

Why the steel core is important
The steel core (WSC) is essentially the backbone of the stainless steel cable and gives it its high tensile strength and dimensional stability. It ensures that the rope retains its structure even under heavy loads and stretches only minimally. Especially in dynamic applications with frequent bending changes, the core contributes to smooth movement and low wear. Thanks to it, the entire structure is not only more resilient, but also considerably more durable.
What makes stainless steel special
Stainless steel impresses with its corrosion resistance, strength, and durability, making it ideal for high-quality wire ropes. It retains its shape permanently even when exposed to moisture, UV radiation, salty air, or chemical influences, and loses none of its attractive appearance.
Depending on the requirements, various materials are used, such as 1.4301 (proven standard stainless steel), 1.4401 (contains molybdenum for increased corrosion resistance), 1.4529 (high-alloy stainless steel with excellent resistance to chlorides and acids) or 1.4462 (extremely resistant, combines high strength with excellent corrosion resistance).
