The towing process of a glider takes place in 3 phases:<\/p>\n
\n- Towing and lifting:<\/strong> In the first phase, the glider is set in motion evenly and lifted off the ground.<\/li>\n
- Climb:<\/strong> The winch cable pulls the glider up into the air in a controlled manner. Here, the cable must not only withstand the pulling forces, but also remain extremely low in twist and rotation to ensure a stable climb phase.<\/li>\n
- Final phase and decay:<\/strong> In the final phase, the wire rope is gently disconnected while the glider is brought to the desired altitude. A stable and responsive rope is crucial for the controlled completion of the winch launch.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>
